Screenplay Finalist: Reniqua Allen-Lamphere

I chose to write June 15th, because of a scene in Citizen Kane that reminisces on a lost moment of connection and how those moments often never leave us. I thought it would be interesting to think about what it would mean if we actually held on to that connection and how that could play out over time, even if it wasn’t in the context of a “traditional” relationship. Using works like Before Sunrise, Medicine for Melancholy and Same Time, Next Year as a jumping point, this film is about love that never leaves us, but is also never fully with us either.
